Nicole Légère Doucet

Household CEO-CFO-COO, PhD in Sleep Deprivation, Chief Negotiator Sibling Squabbles, Art Critic, Familial Law Enforcer, Husband Supporter, Baby Whisperer, Activity Social Secretary etc.

As the description above explains, I am first and foremost mom to 3 lovely and very active children under the age of 6. My husband Armand (Cheerleader in Chief, Chief Bath Time Scrubber and Executive-Chef) and our golden retriever (Chief Protector of the Household) encourage, support and play a large role in making sense of it all.

The important role that the Friends of The Moncton Hospital has performed for so many years is very familiar to me and goes hand in hand with being a mother. You see, it really hit home for me in 2012 when my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Through her almost 5-year battle with the disease, she received countless procedures and top-notch care and services from our local hospital. Going through this with my mom, starting our family and being able to share those first moments with her would not have been possible without the important work that the Foundation does every day. I witnessed first-hand how each donation helps contribute to better care for our loved ones.

That is why I believe in using my skills to advance the Foundation’s mission, so that others can possibly get the gift of time with their loved one’s.

Currently I am the Manager, Finance – Operations at Atlantic Lottery where I have been employed for 7 years. Previously, I worked for KPMG LLP here in Moncton as a member of their professional services firm. I have a CPA, CA and my CIA designation – my focus is in accounting and financial reporting.

My past volunteer work includes serving as a board member for Moncton Headstart and Crossroads for Women.
